Community Forum

The best way to get help, ask questions, or report issues is through our community forum at bridgeautomation.com/forum. Our forum is monitored regularly and is the fastest way to get a response from the Bridge Automation team and the wider community of structural engineering professionals who use our tools.

General Inquiries

For general questions about Bridge Automation, our software tools, or the site itself, please post in the General section of the forum. This includes questions about how a specific tool works, what methods or standards are used in a calculation, or whether a particular feature is planned. You will typically receive a response within one business day.

Bug Reports

If you encounter a bug or unexpected behavior in any of our tools, please post a detailed report in the forum. To help us reproduce and resolve the issue quickly, include the following in your post:

  • The name of the tool and the specific calculation or function affected
  • The input values you entered
  • The output or error message you received
  • What you expected to see instead
  • Your browser name and version (e.g., Chrome 120, Firefox 122)
  • Your operating system (e.g., Windows 11, macOS 14, Android 14)

The more detail you provide, the faster we can identify the root cause and issue a fix. All confirmed bugs are corrected and redeployed as quickly as possible.

Feature Requests

We welcome suggestions for new tools, improvements to existing tools, or additional design code support. Please post feature requests in the forum under the appropriate category. Requests that are technically feasible and broadly useful to the community are prioritized for inclusion in future updates.

We are particularly interested in feedback about:

  • Missing loading conditions in the beam analysis tool
  • Additional design code support (AASHTO, Eurocode, etc.)
  • New section types in the section properties tool
  • Output formats — for example, printable calculation sheets
  • Mobile usability improvements
Feedback on Calculation Results

If you believe a tool is producing an incorrect or unexpected result, we want to know. Please post in the forum with the details of your input and the expected vs. actual output. We take calculation accuracy very seriously. All reported discrepancies are investigated against the relevant design standard or engineering reference, and corrections are issued when warranted.
